Fish lings were released in Deepor beel in a joint project in association with Panchpara Samabai Samiti (DBPSS), around 50,000 fish lings of different varieties of fish like, Rahu, Bhakuwa, Kurhi etc. On the occasion a brief function was held at the edge of the beel, Rtn. Dr. Balendra Kr. Das, Rtn. Dr. Jyoti Das and Rtn. Dr. Amrit Pal Singh from our club and the office bearers of DPBSS alongwith the fisherman were present in the function. Our club lauded the fishermans initiative for increasing the number of fishes and protection of the beel.
