Project Description:--:
On Saptami of the Durga Puja festivities, 2nd October, members of RCS, took the lesser privileged children of Hindu Mission Shillong for a visit to various Puja pandals. Two buses were hired for the purpose, arranged by generous Rotarians.
The pandal visit started with the Rajasthan Vishram Bhavan Puja pandal. Each child was given coins, to offer before the deities at the various tableaus. The other destinations were the pandals at Kench’s Trace, Assamese Naam Ghar and Hari Sabha. The final destination was the pandal near Hotel Polo Towers, after which, as has been the custom over the years, the children were taken to Hotel Polo Towers for a sumptuous sponsored lunch. Thereafter, the children were dropped back to the Hindu Mission.
