AGRO VET CAMP AT LOWER ECCHHEY

Report on AGRO VET CAMP.

An AGROVET CAMP was held by the Rotary club of Kalimpong on the 2ND OF June , 2023 at Pashupatinath Primary School ,Lower Echhey Busty in association with
Animal Resources Dev.Deptt , Kalimpong,Kalimpong Animal Shelter and Indian Redcross Society KALIMPONG.

The respective departments jointly organized the camp in a very successful and disciplined manner.

The beneficiaries were distributed various items by various departments present.

Starting with the Indian Red Cross Society , Kalimpong Branch , hygiene kits were given to 38 beneficeries both male and female.

In addition clothes were distributed free of cost among children , men and women by Rotary club of Kalimpong.

The Kalimpong Animal Shelter conducted Animal Birth Control surgery and in total ten dogs were operated.

The ARD Department along with its Mobile Veterinary Clinic distributed Deworming, Vitamins , minerals, Liver supplements, Appetizers and Antidiarrhoeal drugs to around 84 beneficiaries with awareness speech about the Lumpy skin Disease of cattle from which farmers are facing problems recently .

Millets seeds , Phosphates ( organic fertilizer)and organic insecticides were distributed 46 farmers which were collected from Agriculture Department, Kalimpong Block-1

The Camp was a huge success and in total the community of RCC Echhey and people of that area was benefitted from the camp .

President Rtn. CA Sumit Jindal gave his opening remarks followed by awareness talk by Club Service Director Rtn. Dr. Deven Pradhan and the President declared the camp open .

Other members present were Rtn Shiela Rai Fudong with her spouse , Rtn Sharda Mukhia , Rtn Col. PC Thapa , Rtn. Col Kunga Sherpa and Rtn Dr. DP Pandey who also represented the Kalimpong Animal Shelter .

Dr. Devendra Pradhan , Dr Deepak Sharma ,
Dr Anima Rana and other staff from Animal shelter and Animal Resources Dev. Deptt Kalimpong were also present in the said Agro Vet Camp .
