Application of New Method of Learning: Happy School

On 10th September in the basic education and literacy month our Literacy chairperson Rtn. Tanuka Das implemented a new method of learning and teaching in our club run Pallimangal school, the school for santhal children. In this new method of learning the stories, traditions are being learned from the students in their own native language so that the essence of the story remain intact as the feelings are expressed through their facial expressions. It gives a wonderful feeling to the Santhal children to sit down in a class and formally tell stories in their native language. Its a method through which we are trying to restore their ancestral values. This method of Language revitalization is our attempt to halt the decline of Santhal language. In our school we do provide the tribal students assistance to join the mainstream education in the common language Bengali, and at the same time give them opportunity to use their native. language
