Basic Life support Training entitled “Save a Life”

Rotary Club Shillong Heritage organised a basic life support Training entitled ' Save a life " on the 14th of March , 2023 at Shillong Convention Centre in collaboration with the Meghalaya Branch of Indian association of Pediatrics. The participants were staff of Pinewood Hotel, members of MTDC, staff of Pine borough hotel, Gold Gym trainers, shop keepers from Police Bazar and rotarians. Around 56 people were given hands on training by the BLS trainers on how to conduct CPR and Heimlich maneuver during an emergency. This was led by the head of the Department of Pediatrics Nazareth Hospital Dr. Shantanu Deb, Dr. Pallash Ranjan Gogoi and Dr. Sabrina Yasmin. The trainees responded with a lot of enthusiasm in learning something so beneficial to save a life and the General manager of Pinewood hotel Shillong took an active part in the program was gifted with a shawl and the Four way Test of Rotary. The trainers were also felicitated with a Four way test. Refreshments were sponsored by the Meghalaya Tourism Development Corporation.
