Blood Donation and Awareness

On 19th March Rotary family of Silchar have organised a Blood donation camp in collaboration with Cachar Cancer Hospital Rotary Blood Bank. All the clubs have participated in the program. Despite of heavy rainfall and turbulent weather, participation was not up to the expectation. Total number of unit of blood collected were approximately 40 units. Before the camp started, Dr. Shabnam explained beautifully the importance of Blood Donation and its positive sides among the youth of different service organisations. She also told that awareness is very important as many people are completely ignorant about blood donation and carried away by myths.
