The day started at 7.45 am by hoisting national flag at the club Premise of Rotary Club of Silchar followed by National anthem. Members of RC Silchar, Rotaract club of Silchar and Inner wheel club of Silchar were present during the Flag hoisting of Azadi ka Amrit Mohotsav. Later refreshment was served.
At midday Rotary Club of Silchar organised a community feast which has been acknowledged by the Govt Of Assam, as a part of the Independence day celebration officially. District Development Commissioner Mr Rajib Roy, inaugurated the community feast Along with other two ADC of Cachar District. Members of Rotary club of Silchar, Inner wheel club, Rotaract club were actively participated. Various activities undertaken by the children during the day. Approximately 2000 people enjoyed the feast. The widespread social activity by our club was appreciated by Mr Rajib Roy District Development Commissioner.
