Commmemoration of World water and Sanitation Day with an awareness Program

RCSH Commmemorated World water and Sanitation Day with an awareness Program on the 25th of March at Mawkasiang Village Angwanwadi Centre on the theme in accordance to the world water day " Accelerating change to solve the water and sanitation crisis. A very insightful and interesting talk was given by the chief Project manager Swachh Bharat Mission , Government of Meghalaya Mr. Mark west Kharkongor. 40 villagers of Mawkasiang, Mawdiangdiang and Umsdir village shared their difficulties due to the scarcity of water in their villages. Mr. Mark west explained to them how to conserve water and hygiene practises to be followed. The Headman of the three villages also spoke about the various other water issues faced by the villagers. The villagers agreed to try and conserve the water that they use and expressed their pleasure that the club identified the difficulties faced by their village on water scarcity.
