COMMUNITY DEVELOPMENT/AWARENESS CAMPAIGN

The Rotary Club of Shillong today in collaboration with RCC Mawlai conducted an Awareness Campaign on Covid Vaccination along with distribution of rations to 122 families at Umphrew Village under Mawlai constituency.
The Covid 19 awareness program was conducted by Dr Markordor Lyngdoh and Dr Ningombam Joenn SRD- Community Medicine NEIGRIHMS.
Umphrew village comprises of 200 inhabitants ,out of which only 64 have so far been vaccinated with first dose and 3 with second dose.The Asha worker who was present expressed gratitude to the Rotary Club for organizing the much needed awareness program. The headman of the village appreciated the service rendered by the club.
The rations was distributed by Rotarians in bags branded with the Rotary Logo and consist of adequate quantity of Dal, Sugar, Salt,Tea leaves, Mustard oil, Biscuits, Onions and Potatoes.
