OFFICIAL VISIT OF DISTRICT GOVERNOR RID 3240 TO THE ROTARY CLUB OF SHILLONG
One of the most awaited events for any Rotary club, is the official visit of the incumbent district governor. On the 6th of May 2023, Rotary Club of Shillong was honoured with the visit of DG Rtn Dr Kushanava Pabi and his charming spouse, First Lady Ann Rtn Jaya Pabi. The day began with the President RCS Rtn Deeya Rathore accompanied by AG Zone XIII RID 3240 Rtn Pubali Buzarbaruah and Secretary RCS Rtn Suresh Prasad Singh taking the DG for a visit to Keane’s Kindergarten Happy School. In the afternoon there was a meeting with the President, Secretary and Treasurer of RCS, this was followed by the Club Assembly held at the Shillong club, where each committee was well represented. The General Meeting which took place in the evening at Rotary corner was well attended by Rotarians and Anns. After the welcoming and felicitation of the DG, First Lady and dignitaries, President Deeya Rathore, with the aid of a power point presentation, showcased the club activities for the benefit of the DG and the audience. A few members presented their generous contribution to the TRF by handing over cheques to the DG and PHF certificates and pins were received by some other members. The DG Rtn Dr Pabi then addressed the gathering and spoke at length about member retention as well as the importance of contributing to the TRF. President RCS then sounded the gong, marking the end of the meeting, which was followed by fellowship and a sumptuous dinner. A truly memorable day for RCS.
