Eye Camp “DRISHTI”

There are many people in our locality who do not have much time to visit an Eye specialist for their eye related problem due to their busy schedule and also many peoples can't afford eye glasses due to financial issues. Later, due to this negligence,many problems arise in eyes.
Keeping these words in mind * Rotary Club of Greater Silchar organised free eye examination camps under DRISTI project at ten locations of Barak Valley from March 1 to March 7 in association with Aloka Vision Care, Bangalore who provided spectacles for just Rs.300/- to those who need glasses. Also, in the said camp, cataract, cornea, Squint etc. problems were identified and rehabilitation has been arranged.
The camp of "DRISTI", organised by RC Greater Silchar in association with Saksham ,a vision care program, which has completed 8 camps at Dolu Tea Estate, Udharband Tea. Estate, Algapur, Patharkandi, Amraghat Tea Estate, Baghbari Badarpur, Lakkhipur & Ramkrishna Nagar. Many benificiaries have been treated whose eye check up was done free of cost, among them more than 100 patients were detected with cataract, whose operation will be conducted free of cost at Silchar Medical College by ROTARY CLUB OF GREATER SILCHAR, also free medicines and protien powder were given. Those detected with low vision were provided free spectacles from the Club. RC GREATER SILCHAR feels happy to stand with the needy.. Service above self is what Rotary means.
