Rotary Club Silchar has been active in distribution of flood relief to the flood victims of Barak Valley . As part of the relief work , members of Rotary Club Silchar distributed 35 shelter kit on Saturday to the 35 genuine needy victims of flood .The program was inaugurated by the Club President Rtn Ramanuj Gupta, he mentioned that a huge consignment of medicines and shelter kits had been sent by the District Governor Rtn Dr Kushnav Pabi for the flood victims of Cachar. Which will be distributed to the flood victims by the five Rotary clubs of Silchar town. The medicines sent will be distributed by organising health camps in different flood affected areas soon .The Club President Rtn Ramanuj Gupta also informed that the those shelter kits which have been distributed are consists of tirpal,mosquito net,utensils, ration items etc which will be sufficient for a family to rebuild their home . Club President Rtn Ramanuj Gupta expressed his heartfelt gratitude to DG Dr Rtn Kushnav Pabi and also committed that Rotary Club Silchar will continue with their relief work to the flood victims till the situation becomes normal again . It is to be mentioned that Assistant Governor of Rotary District zone 15 , Rtn Chandana Purkayastha was present in the distribution program. Members present were Rtn Shankar Deb, Rtn Taimur Raja Choudhury, Rtn Charanjit Ghosh,Rtn Ranadhir Bose , Rtn Debashish Chakraborty, Rtn Fakrul Alam Mazumdar.
