Happy School Keane”s Kindergarten Shillong

KEANE’S KINDERGARTEN HAPPY SCHOOL

The Happy School Program aims to provide/upgrade the infrastructural and co-scholastic facilities in state funded schools, to make them secure, attractive and happy learning places for students and teachers. The inauguration of Keane's Kindergarten Happy School was held on 17th April 2023. It was a wonderful programme arranged by the Managing Committee of Lady Keane Girl’s HS School and the Rotary Club of Shillong. The school dedicated to the memory of Late PP Rtn Anil Pradhan was inaugurated by Smt Rosetta Kurbah, Director of Education and the appointed DC EKH. Programme was attended by Rotarians, Principal of Lady Keane College, Management Committee members of Keane's Kindergarten, teachers, parents and students.
After a charming welcome by kindergarten children by way of a medley of nursery rhymes, the program got underway. The school principal felicitated the chief guest, the President of RCS, as well as members of the managing committee. The chief guest Smt R Kurbah and the School Principal were felicitated with the Four Way Test by President Deeya Rathore. Rotarians, members of the management committee, and the chief guest shared a few words regarding Happy School with the audience; then the gathering proceeded for the formal inauguration of the school as well a short interaction with the kindergarten children. Members who attended were President Deeya Rathore, PDG Manas Chaudhuri, PDG Dr Debasish Das, Rtn Kiron Joshi, Rtn Kishan Tibrewalla, Rtn Dr Ashim Das, Rtn Sarad Bawri, Rtn Shyam Singhania, Rtn Amit Sharma, Rtn Suresh Singh and Rtn Dr Geetanjali Poon Terang.
It is also fitting to place on record and express gratitude to all those who had a big hand in making this Project possible. Ann Shanta Pradhan for donating Rs 3 lakh, Rtn Kishan Tibrewalla for his monetary and material support towards construction and renovation, PDG Dr Debashish Das for donating the entire Play Room with all accessories as well as the bed for the medical room. PDG Manas Chaudhuri, Rtn Ramesh Agarwalla and Rtn Akash Chirania for their financial contributions; Rtn Suresh Prasad Singh for his contribution towards requirement of tiles, Rtn Shyam Singhania for his contribution of a water filter and Rtn Vishnu Chokhani for the contribution of mattress, pillow, bed sheet and pillow case for the medical room.
