National Simplicity Day recongnises the life works of Henry David Thoreau who encouraged the life of simple living.The day emphasizes the need to free ourselves from stress of life that buckles us down and devote more time to ourselves so that we can connect with ourselves. We, the members of Rotary Club of Siliguri Uttorayon Believers cherished this day as on 12th July '21 by honoring Smt Sulochana Mansi, who is famed for her spirit of philanthropy with a beautiful painting made by my daughter of 17 years Vanshika Kayan.

Smt.Sulochana can be compared to Henry David. She not only preaches generosity but she walks her talk. She has dedicated her life to the upliftment of society and promoting Indian Art and culture. She was conferred with the art karat woman of substance award in 2016. A master of many traits, she serves a pivotal role in many organizations. She is the chairperson of manhandled Kala centre and also the vice chairperson of 'Matri Chhaya' Siliguri Westbengal etc.
