On the eve of World Menstrual Hygiene Day, Rotary Club of Golaghat along with the Women’s Cell, Golaghat Commerce College organized an awareness programme on the subject "Menstrual Health and Hygiene" at Kacharihat Girls Higher Secondary School on 27th May 2023. Rtn Dr Minuara Begum, Secretary, Rotary club of Golaghat highlighted the importance of Menstrual hygiene to girls and women’s health and well-being and emphasized on the overarching goal is to build a world where no one is held back because they menstruate by 2030. The Key note speaker Mrs Moonmi Dutta , Clinical Instructor, GNM Nursing School, Golaghat spoke on different aspects of menstrual hygiene, value of nutrition and different management aspects during the menstrual cycle . At the end of the event Rotary Club of Golaghat distributed 200 packets of Sanitary Pads to nearly 100 nos. girl students present in the programme on the occasion.
