TREE PLANTATION AT ROTARY-NHAI UDYAN SITE, JHALUKBARI

Project Overview:--: 43 saplings of different varieties were planted at ROTARY-NHAI UDYAN SITE, JHALUKBARI together with ROTARACT CLUB OF SOUTH GUWAHATI
Project Description:--:
On 24th of July, Rotary club of Gauhati South TOGETHER with Rotaract club of south guwahati organised a tree plantation drive in the Rotary-NHAI udyan, located at the jalukbari flyover intersection, Guwahati. The objective of the drive was to plant trees and contribute to the environment.

The program started at 10 am in the morning, in presence of 14 rotarians, accompanied by 12 young rotaractors.
The team planted more than 40 numbers of plant saplings within 1.5 hours. The plant saplings include plants like, neem, radhachura, sewali, nahar, sonaru, palm trees and varieties of flower beds of joba, Ashok, bokul, magnolia, bougainville, jackfruit and many more.

The plantation drive was also attended by Brand Ambassador of RCGS Mr. kaushik Guha, who is a renowned cyclist and a tree planter and had been planting saplings daily since 01.01.2022.

This plantation drive was ensured by a pledge taken by each member, who planted taking responsibility of caring for the same.
